Do we make the pottery?
Nope! The bisque (clay that has already been fired once) molds are already made, so all you have to do is paint it! Then, once you are done, we will dip the items in a clear, food safe glaze and fire them a second time so they will be bright, shiny, and ready for you to take home!
How long does it take?
Depending on the age of the painters, we usually recommend to plan about two hours for your trip. This gives you plenty of time to pick your items, your paints, and to make your masterpieces! If you have younger kids with you, they do tend to paint faster, but that is what the pirate ship is for!
When do we get our pottery back?
Once you are done painting your piece, it takes about a week to get the pottery back to you. We do offering shipping for travelers!
Can we bring food and drinks?
Yes! Bring your own food, drinks, and if you’re having a party, your own decorations, too! We also have snacks and drinks available for purchase.
What if “I am not an artist”?
NO PROBLEM! Ask one of our resident artists to show you our Specialty Glazes - everything you need for a stunning piece of pottery in one bottle! The specialty glazes have a chemical reaction to the heat in the kiln creating very cool, and also, very surprising results.
You can also ask about our “Coloring Book Bisque” - we draw the design, you just have to color between the lines! You can choose from our pre-made coloring book designs, or you can commission an artist for your very own.
